Prof. B. Hadley Wilson
Professor Hadley Wilson, MD, FACC, is an interventional cardiologist and chief of adult cardiology at Carolinas HealthCare System’s Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute.
Dr. Wilson serves as Governor for the American College of Cardiology’s (ACC) North Carolina Chapter, and also serves on the ACC’s Board of Governors, the grassroots governing body of the College.
He has been involved in a number of state and national initiatives around a regionalized approach reduce treatment times for heart attack patients. Carolinas HealthCare System is leading the nation in this area through its successful Chest Pain Network, which has helped save the lives of many patients – and with some of the nation’s fastest times and best outcomes.
Dr. Wilson has received numerous honors and recognitions for his achievements in cardiology, including being named one of the “Best Doctors in America” in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011.
A leader in cardiovascular research, he has published nearly 60 papers, abstracts and letters on various interventional and general cardiology topics. He has also participated in numerous lectures and presentations, at a national level.
Dr. Wilson earned his medical degree at Duke University Medical School and completed his residency, as well as his fellowship in cardiology at Vanderbilt University.
